I headed to my grandma's place on saturday to celebrate her 90th birthday. (or 91th? Oh Shit!) Things were same as usual. We have a buffet dinner (home-cook), followed by the birthday cake. Kids were running and shouting. Adults were sitting down gossiping about daily life. What about us, young adults? We were talking about sports stuff, especially so about the olympics and other stuff like NS and so go. It feels good to chat with people like my cousins whom I have not met for some time.

It has been a while since my grandma's place is so lively. Such occasion only occurs like twice a year, once in the chinese new year and the other is my grandma's birthday. Usually, the place is just so quiet and only those regular people like my aunt will visit and start to gossip around.

I feel that we should not just limit to visit our relatives like once or twice a year. Maybe we think it is a hassle, but it is actually not. We think just going there and have a dinner is very trouble some and we would prefer to have dinner with our friends.

But have you thought of people like your grandparents who are looking forward to see you? You might think they are naggy and stuff like that. But should we try to understand them a bit more? They just want to make sure you are fine and try to chat to have a catch up seesion with you. You know family bonding stuff like that. You will never know what is going to happen and maybe you will start to regret why didn't you do that in the first place.

So rather than waiting for such occasions, I guess we should at least try to have dinner with our relatives regularly.

It has been three years since I last enter an optical shop. I was forced to go for the previous trip, if not I would have been enrolled into NYP. As for my yesterday trip, it was both force and voluntary.

Things have changed since my last visit. There were new faces which, I have not seen before. They are the relatives of the owners, helping our in their shop. The first thing of the the girl asked me were what type of spectacles I am looking for. I told her I am looking for army spectacles.

The next thing she did was she took out a small box, inside full of those black frames spectacles. She asked me to choose. I was like what the.? How the hell am I going to choose them? They are look alook. I think I sucked at choosing things. The girl could actually choose those that fit my face. After trying them out, I still couldn't decide on which one I want. So I decide to choose later after my eye examination.

Going for an eye examination is like going for a health checkup. Trying to wait for those divide numbers (you know Blood pressure, glucose level, etc) to roll out. As expected, my eyesight has worsen. Now the degree of both my eyes have hit 800+. Doesn't sound good to me. What can I do? Just resign to it lol. I wonder how come I have so many problems? When I was young, I visit the hospital frequently. After that I got ezema, followed by myopia and then teeth stuff. Come think about it, I have spend few thousands just for all these problems? Is it worth it? My mother thinks it is worth it, if not she would not have spend them in the first place.

I keep thinking how come there are people who always use the computer with their eyes so close to the monitor, and yet not having their eyesight worsen. Maybe it is my genes fault? Who knows? Nobody knows. My mother recommended me to go for lasik. But I think I am not ready to have my eye going for an operation. Costs, fear, etc. Not to mention my chances of getting lao hua yan gets higher. I don't wanna have that.

After the eye examination, it was back to choose which black frame I want. Ya, it is funny, I have to decide which one to choose when they all look similar to me. In the end, I left it to the girl to choose it for me.

It may not be a bad choice, not to mention it cost me $60 (after a $10 discount), and it is going to be my spectacles for the next two years.

Four weeks left.

Thanks to Panther who hosted the console session and Jon who brought the game. I defintely enjoyed the games with those who have came. It was defintely fun to use "Glatuska". How manly it can be. (It is a male customized Setsuka, haha...)

I felt like buying a laptop and mobile broadband after reading the digital times. It's really cheap! Well, I think I need to stop myself from such temptations until I go into the uni.

Went to bishan park for a run yesterday alone. Think I need to more of exericse. I know it is a little bit late, but it is still better than nothing.

How nice of SGH to organize a post JCI party at st James, but since I am a temp staff I am not entitled to go lol. Sianz.

Finally I got to play sc4 on a PS3!

Went to Panther's place on saturday to play (ya, missed the fireworks at marina bay). Someone brought his PS3 and sc4 along.

Not bad though, the graphics have defintely improved and it looks damn good on HD. Game wise, it is still pretty much the same. Definitely enjoyed the game.

Quite many people came, from both the gaming and the figuring sides. I just feel that the figuring side people seems left out since they are not that familar with sc4. So feel a little bad lol. I didn't stay overnight to enjoy the game since I was tired and I know my mother will defintely keeping nagging non-stop. I wanted to head back the next morning but one of the guy who brought the PS3 needs to go. So in the end, I didn't go back lol.

Surprising I found out that I can play sc4 for free in J8. Mostly kids playing there, probably amazed by the fact that they can use darth varder from star wars.

Since I woke up early this few days, feeling pretty tired lol... Sianz... Need to work again...

Saturday
Met up with the old gang again. We were supposed to watch movie, but we could not decide on which movie to watch, so ended up not watching any. This should be the last time I am playing SC3: AE. Got own like mad lol. Hope to play sc4 soon.

Sunday
My neck is so painful lol. Can't turn my head much, if not I will feel more pain. Running in bishan park is better than running at the stadium. At least you can admire the scenary there.

Monday
How wish I am not working and should be in school studying... Well, it's just a wishful thinking...

I guess work is going to be busy for the next few weeks, since we are like short of people now...
