Received a call from NTU just now regarding an interview for NTU's Chemistry program. I guess they will ask me whether how long I wish to complete the program since they say it is a 'short' interview.

Sianz. I still haven't got a call from NUS regarding pharmacy interview. Hope I will get a call soon...

It was obivously a wrong choice to work yesterday. Well, I didn't have to work on sat. But for this week, the pharmacy needs to do stocktake. So they have asked me to help them and I will be paid.

So yesterday the staff and I had to to do stocktake for SOC B1 pharmacy (which is small). The gondola I was assigned was No. 2 and it was not a good one though. At least two third of the medicines are LOOSE tablets, not in strips of ten tablets. This means that I need to count each of of the single tablet! Furthermore, out of convenience sake, they keep opening those unopened loose tablets bottle. This means I need to count them like mad!

To make things worse, there were only two tablet counter machines. And it is not just me who needs to use it, others need it as well. One machine was fast while the other was slow. And unfortunately, I only knew how to operate the slow machine.

So I went to another pharmacy to borrow a machine, which I was familar with to use. Some loose tablets were hard to count since they were big. One example, Sodium Chloride tablets. The machine couldn't even count them. The numbers were shooting up until the error sign appeared. Not to mention, four bottles of Sodium Chloride tablets, three were opened.

When everybody has finished counting theirs, my team were still struggling to count the medications. Too many opened tablets bottles slow down our process.

Worst still, there were auditors around to check whether you count correctly. Luckily they didn't choose those big tablets like Sodium Chloride to check. If they checked this, I would probably go crazy.

Anyway, this morning, Wen Gan, Guang Sheng and I met up at Bishan Stadium for running. I feel it is better to do exercise in the morning. Guess I will be meeting them up in future sundays for running and swimming.

I wanted to post about this yesterday, but I forgot about the matter.

There was a patient who actually changed the quantity of a particular medication, dequalilium, on the prescription. He went to overwrite the quantity. I find that this patient is quite stupid lol. It is ILLEGAL to change any content that is on the prescription. This rule was enforce so that people cannot change the quantity of those abuse drugs. But then this fellow went to change the quantity of a lozenge, which is used to helped with sore throat. He can actually buy it over counter. I wonder why he has to do this.

Imagine this person getting charged for changing the quantity of a sore throat lozenge?

Finished up my last bit of my university application by sending my official academic transcript this morning. Hope I will receive some good news soon.

Anyway I met Aunt Nancy yesterday and Bandy this morning in SGH. So surprised to see them here. Nancy was here to collect her medication yesterday and Bandy was here for a course. It's good to see them again!

I will be working until sat for this week. SO sianz lol. I need to helped out with stock taking. Oh well, just treat it as to make more extra money to pay back last friday.

I found this when reading someone's blog. Here is an extract about how this person feels about NS.

"guys, i hope to make things clear with those going to enlist soon. as i'm currently working in hq among the high flyers, so i have quite a good picture where the nsfs stand in the army.

in reality, nsfs are like bangla workers. they are just a mere statistic, regardless whether u're a chao recruit or 2lt just comissioned from ocs. in short, nsfs are there to make up the numbers in the army. on the whole, if the army is lacking of engineers/drivers, most probably the coming bmt graduates will be posted there. its a simple case of supply and demand. those passed ippt before they enlist have a good chance to go to command school (sispec/ocs), after come out of there most of them are almost like cpl with just a higher pay. they wont be given important tasks, only just more saikang to do only.

i know for some of u guys, soon army is going to be a new phase in their life and u feel all psyched up to do well in there. to be honest, dont bother. no one gives a damn about u cos u're just a nsf. my advice to those going to enlist is to go in and serve your 2 yrs quietly and start your real life after that. going to what vocation is the least important of all cos u can never decide (unless u got special talent go mdc, film unit, or opt to enlist as commandoes, etc). what's most important is the friends u know inside cos some of them will be with u for the rest of your life.

for me, after i see the bigger picture on how the organisation works, i decided to keng all the way. no pt choinging so hard when u're just a chao nsf. but for those who plan to sign on for whatever reason (be it money or passion), it's very important who u know inside the army and your educational qualifications. working hard can only bring u to only a certain point, the rest is up to u. all the best"

I think this is pretty true...

I wished to thank those people who have congratulated me! Sorry if I didn't reply them asap, since I couldn't logon to the net yesterday and bishan library just banned all tagboards. So once again, just wish to thanks you guys again!

I haven't been doing much these few days.

Went to Panther's place yesterday. We got totally owned by online youtube video, especially the Japanese variety show, Human Teris. Should really go and watched it.

Then I went to Panther's place today again. Played Bleach in the night. I got totally owned as well. I just sucked at playing that game. But of course, we should play for the sake of fun! Haha Hope to have regular gatherings with friends. It just feels good to be friends even if you have nothing to do.

Don't have the mood to talk about pharmacy work, role of pharmacy techncian and pharmacists now. Will explain next time why people hate working in the pharmacy field.

At one moment, I was feeling down. The next moment, I was so excited.

Last night, I receive s sms from Peggy. She congratulated me for getting Diploma With Merit (DWM, or also known as Certificate of Merit). I was like was she sure. Few more sms from friends further confirmed this.

I quickly rushed down to the library to use the computer to check. But I just don't know why the list wasn't updated. But when I checked it again today, it was pretty much confirmed. You can click on the link below to see for yourself:

http://www.nyp.edu.sg/NYPStudents/pdfs/exams/dwm.pdf

I was so shocked lol because I didn't expect myself to get it (my GPA wasn't that great). So kinda of happy to learn that I got DWM. This means I may stand more chance in entering uni? Haha.

Lastly, just to wish to congratulate to all others who have gotten DWM!!!

I woke up a few times last night to check my phone whether I have receive my FYP results, but it had not been seen.

I checked my phone again the moment I woke up at my usual time. I have hoped for the best, but still my worst fear has came.

CL3106 - Final Year Project: B+

Result: My GPA dropped by 0.02.

I have told myself to constantly maintained my GPA after it dropped during my year 2 and now it dropped again, although it is a small bit.

Maybe this score is not of so significant compared to my previous GPA? I guess maybe it is due to the fact that I am just obsessed in getting perfect grades. I ended up always getting upset everytime I get back my results since I did not get a satisfactory grades.

I guess it was my report that pull my FYP grade down. I have been constantly worried about my report since I didn't do it well. So I guess this grade was kinda of expected. This just reminded me of what happen to my immunology. I did well in almost everything, but the final exam paper pulled me down. Now the same thing has happened again.

Everybody says that it is easy to score an A for FYP, so why in the end I still get a B+? Now it seems that most people in the class will have gotten an A and only a few people like me get a B+.

Previously, my hope of getting COM and NUS pharmacy course is already quite slim. With my current results, I can start to see my hope of getting COM, and into NUS pharmacy course is diminishing soon.

Again, I am just to obsess with getting A (even though my GPA didn't change significantly).

Now I can pretty do nothing much about it. All I hope for is some miracles to occur. (eg.since NUS pharmacy has increased their intake, maybe I stand a chance too?)

Maybe this is also a blessing in disguise? Maybe I am really just not suitable for pharmacy? Some people are encouraging me not to take up pharmacy. Reasons? I think I will explain them the next time.

For now, I will continue to check my letter box daily, hoping for some good news to arrive...

I don't know why I keep encountering train delay. Last week train delay caused me to be late for work and today's one nearly got me late. I hope I don't encounter such thing again.

I will get to know why FYP result tomorrow. I am really hoping for an A, nothing below it. But I am so scared. I am afraid the report will screw me up.

I hope for the best, but I cannot prepare for the worst...

Again, I encounter some bad today, and it is related to liquid (yesterday was a suspension, so somehow related).

I didn't want to eat in SGH food court since they are a bit costly. So I decided to go out to eat. Brought along an umbrella (which I luckily did, after going out a while before turning back to take it). It was obviously a wrong choice to eat outside at that time. Not much food was left. So I ended going into a coffee shop to have a plate of Fried Rice. It cost me $3.70! And from all angles, I still can't tell and taste that that was fried rice. OMG.

When I left, it was raining heavily. Then at one point, I jumped to avoid splashing the water. I failed and water enter into my shoes! So the whole afternoon, my left foot was ok and I was feeling the wetness in my right foot. What the heck... I hoped nothing bad is going happen to me tomorrow.

And one more thing learnt, maybe it is a good idea to eat in SGH food court even though they might be costly...

First day of work.

Going to Tanjong Pagar in the morning can be mad sometimes. It is way too crowded. I should try not to go to Tanjong Pagar in the morning in the future, IF POSSIBLE.

Sometimes, I wonder why do people got to quarell over some matters like stocks. If it is not those important or common items, why go bother quarelling over it?

And I am damn unlucky today. For suspension, I will usually shake first before pouring it. So I removed the plastic seal and then shook the bottle. Out of sudden, the cap flew open and the suspenion spill onto me! My face, hair, spectacles, shirt, jeans, shoes and the floor all got it. This is the first time such things happen and the first time for me (hey, I handle this thing long enough). I seriously wonder why this thing happened. Luckily, the spill wasn't not too bad. If not, all eyes were be on me whenever I go.

Went back to tpy polyclinic yesterday. It was nice to see them again. I bought some tarts for them to enjoy. Didn't really know what to buy for them. Things haven't changed much since I left, except for some newly added 'wallpaper' on the side of the shelves.

After that, I went visit zj. Again, haven't seen him for quite some time. Of course, he also didn't change much. Looking forward to having lunch in the following week or so.

Later in the afternoon, met with WG to go to Edric's birthday party. We wanted to bought one figuring for him, but the assistant told me it was only for display. It was strange when I asked the sales assistant whether it is for sale anot.

"Hi. Can I ask whether this is for sale or display?"

"Hmmm, you see, this is a collectible item. Er.... Ya, it is only for display..."

I wonder why didn't he tell me straight it was for display. Dotz.

Over at Edric's birthday party, we had bbq. I wonder why he invited so many people to his party. It looks more like a relative gathering than a birthday party. Some people who went there will obviously going there for the sake of going. Didn't expect to meet one of my friend who I haven't met for years. I guess we will probably meet each other again in years time.

Half way through the party, a few guys and I went out to Thomson plaza to get some more charcoal. Along the way, met some interesting things.

There was a chicken rice stall, but instead of putting a chicken logo, they placed a Crab logo instead. Dotz.

Then when we were leaving Thomson Plaza, there was an auntie who came and ask us where Thomson plaza was.

"Excuse me, where is Thomson Plaza?"

"Er... It is just here."

"How come they didn't put the name on the building?"

How the hell would I know. DOtz.

Some of them play a fool with Edric like placing those camoflouge stuff and cake on his face, making him drink a re-consituted Green tea (with don't know how much alcohol in there).

At about 10 pm, we helped clear up the place and then head back to his place to have some console games. Such a long time since I played GG. Suck at it now. LEft at about 11 pm with CK.

Overall, the party was quite ok la. FOod not bad la. Programme wise also ok la.

Tomorrow starting work again. I don't feel like working, but if I don't work, I will feel bored at home and no money. Oh well, I just got to get use to it...

Met up with Panther and CK for running and swimming in the morning. Supposed to run at bishan stadium, but we went toy instead because there was a sports events going on. The same thing happened when we went to tpy stadium. So we decided to go to world of sports to get something (I went to get a pair of trunks, should have bought the lime green trunks I saw yesterday). When those primary school children left, we went to have a few lapses.

Following running, we headed to the swimming pool. It's like seven years since I went to the swimming pool. Feeling embarrassed when I first step into the water. Can't believe I can't swim now. Maybe it is wrong technique? I guess I need to re-learn again. Let's see what will happen tonight to my skin. If nothing happens, I will try to go the pool more often. Anyway, got one funny woman in the pool. Instead of swimming, she seems to be doing some form of strange exercises with her standing most of the time. Don't know why she came to the pool...

Went home thought I would get scolded by mum for going to swim, but she didn't say much. So still ok lol. I wanted to visit tpy polyclinc just now, but after I have my lunch and hair cut. It was too late. Guess I have to go tomorrow. I must go there tomorrow lol.

Maybe I should have started work earlier. I been doing nothing this week. If I have started work, I probably would have earn a extra $200. Can't wait to start work next monday. It is so boring at home each day.

Guess I should be visiting TPY polyclinic and getting haircut tomorrow. Haven't cut my hair for like 2 months...

Good luck to those taking their 'A' levels results tomorrow :)

It is confimed that I am heading back to SGH on monday. They actually reserved one vacancy for me. But then I am feeling bad now. This means Tee Khan got no vacany. I was the one who ask him first whether he interested and now he has no vacany for this job.

Kinda of feeling bad lol. You introduce somebody to something and then you tell him that he cannot join, like wasting his time. He could have probably gone and find other job. Although he said it is ok, I am still feeling bad about it.

I wonder how should I make up...

Met Gleen (not the one I met at SGH), is Tee Khan's friend and my junior. He called me and I couldn't recognize him. After a while, I then realized who he is. It's been such a long time since I last him, probably years back. Sometimes, it feels good to see your old friend.

Went to Temp Serv recruit agency today. It's one of the agency that help handles SGH temp staff. They tell me that currently SGH has no vacancies! What the heck!? So it means now I can't start work on 10 Mar. WHy like that? I thought SGH pharmacy also shortage of manpower. They given consent that I can go back there to work. Why suddenly now no vacancies? Feel very apologetic to Tee Khan lol. He was actually waiting with me for this job. Now no vacancies and he still got to wait. Feeling bad about it lol :(

I think I will try to ask Miss Tan (the in charge of SOC Pharmacy) whether she really needs any more people anot. If not, I guess I will wait for 1 or 2 weeks. If really no news, I guess I can start looking for another job.

On saturaday, I went to KLP to meet up with Panther and gang. They were there to look at wonderfest figurings (those things are meant to be seen and not to be bought, they can made you bankrupt overnight). Had some games before we head to dinner (of course, I didn't eat). Owning CK with some of the local sitcom that we have. Is just to nice to see people laugh when you are telling some jokes or funny stuff.

After dinner, we went to bugis. Took the chance to see people playing T6. Then at a few rounds of SC3 before I head off. We didn't realize on the other side of the machine, there were UMLIMITED credits. GG.

Sunday was just another boring day for me. Staying at home doing nothing. I just hate when the rain unstops.

Maybe I should find some goals in life to my life more meaningful...
