It has been a while since I last blogged. I didn't have much time on the internet usuage, thus this probably explain why.I have practically did nothing for christmas at all. And I realized it is not christmas itself that is interesting, it seems that the christmas eve is even more fun and interesting.I have just moved to SOC pharmacy. Not a bad place. I am doing the same thing like picking and packing, but they allowed me to do checking.I have also met some new people, mostly youngsters like me. They are quite nice people afterall and we can get along well. But then, some of them living tomorrow le, so a bit sad lol. I wonder whether there will be alot of fun and interaction during picking. One of the person I met was Kim Hwee, Sean's good friend. This guy is crazy one lol, always talking rubbish, can't stand him. But then, he can really hype things up in SOC, making that place not a boring place at all. Well, he's also leaving, going to B1 SOC pharmacy. Other people leaving include Gleen and Sofian.I hope the remaining people, Talia, me and those that are coming to SOC can maintain such fun in SOC lol. I hope that there is half day tomorrow like on christmas eve. Lastly, wish you people a happy new year in advance.

Yesterday was last day at the retail pharmacy. I kinda of missed that place. People there are nice la and they let you try to do other things rather than asking you to do picking all the day. Tomorrow I will be going to SOC pharmacy. It is gonna be busy there and I need to adapt to another place again.I had my workout yesterday at Panther's place. The focus was on the legs since I need to train on my standing board jump. Now my legs are a bit in pain lol. My FYP presentation is coming soon and I have not even started on a single slide, but luckily I have already plan on the contents for certain parts. I need to get this done quickly and have it good.Hope that tomorrow I only need to work for half day at SOC...

WednesdayI just wished to thanks Francis for treating me KFC. Haha. Can't believe I ate KFC again just after a few days. I actually went down to Chinatown People's park to buy it lol. But there was one thing I wasn't happy about KFC. We actually called to ask them for delivery, but the person say the chinatown branch do not have delivery, so we got to go there and buy ourself. Isn't this funny, if this branch cannot deliver, why not ask another branch to do it?Then when I reached there, the manager say they did not receive any order from us. So I tried to explain that we did actually call, but the manager wasn't inform of it. I got to call back and ask and Waty went to call the hotline again. What happened was that the main person in the delivery hotline did not inform the chinatown branch. As a result, they wasn't inform of it. In the end, I just got to sit there and wait. Wasted so much time sorting out this matter. Well, still I got my KFC, I shouldn't be so unhappy about it.ThursdayI met up with Panther, Wen Gan and Zero at Panther's place. Then he drove us to Kallang Leisure Park (KLP). Hmm, there place is a bit quiet, probably due to the closesure of the national stadium. There aren't many people and many shops at that moment. You can actually see shops with no customer at all.We went to Latendo first to see anime figures, followed by going to the arcade to have some games. I can't believe that 7-11 is really a convenience shop. They actually sold eggs and those other grocery stuff!!! I reached home a bit late, and my mother wasn't happy about it. On the way back, we met a minor accident. I don't know what to say about it, but then you can read about Panther's post about this accident here.

Sunday BBQ was fine, but not many people turned up. Luckily it didn't rain. Basically we were eating and chatting most of the time. We chat about many things lol. One of the things brought up was something to related to attachment pay. As we progress into this topic, I realized that I should not be complaining about my attachment. I mean look, I am always complaining about doing the same whole thing over and over again, but then does it really matter that much? Do employer really wants to know what you have done at a particular company? I doubt so. I think they are more interested in where you have been. Not only that, ask yourself, how much have you done to find a place in that paticular company for attachment? You probably have not done anything. Compared to graduates like pre-register pharmacist, they need to write in to a company themself got internship. For us, all our lecturers do all the work to ensure that we can have a place in that particular company. We didn;t even have to do anything to get into those company.I guess I fail to appreciate the effort done by the lecturers, and furthermore, I been complaining about the things I have been doing and no project all these craps. I guess I understand about the purpose of securing a attachment place then having to ask whether the company has a project for a student. Oh well, I guess I should stop complaining about those things I do in attachment, and instead should build up my interpersonal skills. I guess that is more important than any other things else. Not to forget, I just wannt thanks Kelvin for dropping me at the MRT station.

I enjoyed my dinner at the party last night. There was food from KFC, sakae sushi, pizza and more. Haha. I kept eating those drumsticks and popcorn chicken. Well, other than the dinner, there was nothing much else. I didn't bought a gift for exchange, so I mainly eat and chat with other people. After the party, I went to bugis to meet Panther and gang. Stay there until 10 pm before I left. I have not touch SC for sometime, so a bit rusty. Work today is same as usual, pick and pack and doing 'production' work. Somehow the time moves quite fast today. Then in the afternoon, I went to Panther place to do workout. Today is more about training the arms. Now my arms are so tired... I need to rest le...I hope that tomorrow it will not rain in the night because we are having BBQ at Henry's place!

It is pretty much confirm now that I won't be having a project here at SGH. This means that I will just be presenting about my experience in SGH for my FYP. If you don't get it, my FYP title is "My Experience in Singapore General Hospital". I have to do a report and presentation on my experience at SGH and what I have learnt at SGH for my "project".Is this a good news or bad news? The good part is that I don't have to rack my head, thinking on how to go about doing my project, I don't have to squeeze time to do my project. But the bad part is that it is not easy to talk about the experience. If you have a project, you have a topic, rough idea of what you doing to do and what you going to present. But if you do not have a project, you need to think more harder to find out what you want to talk about, especially so harder when you are just doing picking everyday.I don't know what went wrong in the communication between NYP and SGH. A told B that there is not project. Then A say they are infomed students are supposed to have project. After discussing, the conclusion is no project. Well, there's nothing I much I can do. All I do now is think positively about having no project to do and thinking of what I should talk for my experience in SGH. Now I am just relaxing and waiting for fun later for the chrismas party at the retail pharmacy with the staff there...

It seems that I have been bumping onto my secondary school classmates. I met Shu Qin on monday, Keng Ngee on tuesday and then Jason on wednesday. I think I may also have bump onto another classmate today, but I can't remember clearly who she is. Anyway, I was very angry with a Pharmacist yesterday because of what he say. I needed a drug and there was not enough supply. So I decide to go other pharmacy to get it. A kind PT helped me to made a call to that pharmacy for me to get it. WHen I reached, I knocked the door."Hi. I am here to borrow a drug.""What drug?""Medicine A"Then one of the staff was asking whether did anybody call to get the medicine. They were all like so confused. "Did you call just now?""Ya. PT A call. Then one of the pharmacist went to take it and pass it to me. Then he say in a certain manner,"Next time, know what you coming here for."After I left, I could still hear him saying "What PT A call..."Of course, I was angry with what he say. Obviously the reason I am in that pharmacy was to take some drug that wasn't enough in the retail pharmacy. If I don't know why I am there, why would I even go there in the first place. Seriously, I just don't know why he say that. Maybe because he is busy, but that should not be the reason for saying such things. And I realize one thing, when somebody inform that he or she is coming to borrow certain stuff, it seems that they would not inform the rest of the staff. Whenevery I go somewhere to borrow things, I am always hearing this, "is it" or something like that. I think is maybe because the staff know each other and the place well, so they would just come and take and go. I guess they need to inform the rest, so the poor fellow that come to borrow things won't be like a dumb fool standing there asking things that the staff do not understand.Lastly, I tell myself, I will NEVER go into that pharmacy AGAIN.

I met Shu Qin yesterday and Keng Ngee today at SGH. I didn't realize both of them are having attachment at SGH as well. It has been quite long since I last saw them. 'Anyway, I got to dispense today, but they are quite simple stuff. So not much of a problem.I went back to school yesterday to submit my IAP logbook, but I couldn't find Miss Chia, so I asked Henry to pass to her. After that, I chat with Henry for a while. We chat about bleach and many other things lol.Tomorrow I will have to attend a talk during work. Guess it is going to be a boring one. Before I finished, I shall post something about what Panther say about me. It has been edited to correct some mistakes made by him. WeijieAge: 19 (2007)Other nicks: Wireless Starhub, SharpRelated Personal Links: BlogCurrent occupation: Attachment to Singapore General Hospital as Pharmacy AssistantPart of: -Holding titles: Software DestroyerDerived terms: Always connectedFamous Quotes: "Do you want to know when...", "I still remember the first time I..."Outwardly, he might not even being to impress, but certainly his mind in finding statements that own (due to their unpredictability as well as how cold or irrelevant they sometimes can be) and in recalling events along with exact dates and days is almost unmatched. He was also first introduced to me through SC2 (yes the group of us all used to play SC2 and SC3 and some still do). His family background is of a financially constrained one and he never fails to remind us of when he went last for a McDonald's meal or even a KFC meal. Yet he is quite the character when it comes to gaming as well as being a friend.Wireless Starhub (based on the Singaporean ISP Starhub) was pronounced his nickname after we kept getting owned by his recollection of dates and days of exact events that happened in the past, events that, to us now, are little more than trivia knowledge that is needless to point out. Hence the derived term, "always connected", for indeed, he is like a wireless server that keeps all the (useless) information. Yet there are times when his "updates" fail, perhaps because of a lack of connection in that particular "sector".In any case he is also well-known for his one act of software destruction so far, the Splits of Doom, where the nickname Software Destroyer (notice both have the same initials if abbreviated, SD) came about. On a fine day last year (I have forgotten the exact date, and it is one of those rare times that he also forgot), he asked to use my PC to upload a file. So me and Zero were playing some cards while he did his thingie. Apparently, he had to split the file up for upload, and according to Zero, he saw Weijie splitting up into 5000 pieces. The mistake Weijie made was he believed the size to be in bytes instead of kilobytes, and thus that was the first split he made that saw my entire desktop, for the first time ever, covered in full of files (all zip archives). I happened to turn my head to look at the PC at the exact time it happened. I just went "WTF" and could not speak or do anything for the next 5 minutes. In total, Weijie tried for something like 3 times and ended up with 20K or so files on the desktop. Seriously, this is the first time I saw selecting a huge number of files on desktop and deleting them made no difference as to the end result. We went into Windows Explorer, and the scrollbar was about as small as a pinhole. Took forever to select many files (forgot about Select All option and I was afraid it might delete important desktop icons too I think) and delete them from the Recycle Bin. Ever since then he has been banned from using my PC. Yes, banned totally. It was also him who named the deed Splits of Doom. Appropriate, if a little cliche.Currently he is attached to Singapore General Hospital as a pharamcy assistant (I think so), after having finished his theoretical studies at Nanyang Polytechnic in Molecular Biotechnology(Pharmaceutical & Clinical trials). He will be entering NS next year (if all goes well).

End of first week at SGH. It wasn't really that busy at the pharmacy yesterday. I did try out keying of prescriptions, but then someone try out keying for the whole day lol. If I try for too long, she probably say I am kiasu and don't let people do. If she try out, she probably will say because she knows how to speak malay, she can communicate well with the malay staff and thus they let her try out keying lol. Then in the afternoon I went to Panther's place for workout. It has been such a long time since I last do workout. Of course, it was tiring la, but this is only the begining. If I want to be prepared for NS, I need to start training now. As he puts it in his blog, "Rome was not built in a day. One would do well to remember that in many undertakings."Well, for today I did nothing much as usual except doing my IAP report and slacking. Today's whether is abit crazy. It just keeps raining heavily and then stop raining for a while. After that, the whole cycle repeats itself again. My corridor is now basically flooded with water.Oh well, I hope for something different this coming week, and of course, I am looking for fun for this festive season soon...

OK. I am here for about 3 days le. Let me talk about the people here.Generally, it is still not that. Most of the people here are nice, and of course, most are females. PharmacistsThere are 4 pharmacists here. One of them is Miss WOng. That's not talk about her. Hers can be summarized in one word: bad. There are 2 other female pharmacists. They are nice, but I don't really talk to them. Then got one male pharmacist, Benjamin. QUite a nice guy, always smiling here and there. He looks like those teenage people, but a bit more grown up. He can't speak chinese well cause he grew up in UK, but then he is singaporean. Then there is also one pre-reg there, but she is rotating to another department soon.Pharmacy TechnicianQuite a few PTs here. One of them is Francis. He is quite a nice person, alsways talking to us and teaches us things. Ya, he is a long-time friend of Nancy. Then there is anther male PT, Lee. ANother nice person and you always hear him talking. There are 3 malay female PTs, which are nice as well. And lastly, we got one chinese female PT, Seline. She seems have double personality. Sometimes she is good, sometimes she is bad. I remember on the first day I came, when I ask her something, she ignore me lol. What the... But then sometimes she also a bit nice, talking to me and telling me things. That's all the people I know of currently. Although nothing much to say, you can see me repeating one word: NICE :)

K. I am now blogging at SGH using the com there. Don't be mistaken, I didn't use the com in the pharmacy. I am using the com in the staff louge. Ya. Francis (One of the pt there, he is quite nice) brought me here. Didn't know got such place in SGH. Next time after lunch, I will come here to rest. For the past 2 days, I was just walking around SGH after lunch. Damn sianz lol. Then he also brought me to a canteen, where the food is cheap. Next time also going to eat there cause those cafeteria or food court within the hospital is too expensive. This morning came a bit late lol. Was waiting for Yu Sheng, but he was late cause he missed a bus earlier. Trying my way to find where the LT is. Thanks to that person who told me the way. Then Yu Sheng eventually came. Went to LT for a talk, it was on management of epilpesy. A bit boring lol. Then got a short test after that. Then went back to the pharmacy to work as usual.I finally saw the Miss Wong that people in tpy were talking about. I thought she was a senior PT at first, but then when I saw her name tag, I was wrong. Her title is Senior Principal Pharmacist. Heard that she is not very good and can be bao dao. Heard got people resign because of her lol. Hope I don't make her angry. It seems she is better after being bang by the rhombic (those drawers storing the drugs) yesterday. Haha...During week 3 at the retail pharmacy, I will get to dispense too. Yey. Hope I will learn more things. Haha....

SaturdayWent to Panther place in the afternoon. Enjoying playing bleach. Finally got rest on saturaday after working for so many sat. Guess I need to start preparing for NS by exercising more often. Jogging on sat night is just not enough.SundayWent to Panther place again. Play bleach and majong.MondayFirst day of workin SGH. Reach there at about 8.30. SOrt out all teh HR matters, then we went on a tour to the various pharmacies in the hospital like ward pharmacy, Specialized Outpatient clinic pharmacy, retail pharmacy, heamotology lab, pharmacy store, TPN room and A&E pharmacy. The pharmacy store is located at blk 8. It looks so eerie and quiet and it looks as if it was an hospital being recycled for other. Imagine walking alone in the night. YOur legs will probably be shaking. SOC is like damn busy, almost similar to those OP in polyclinic. Currently I am at the retail pharmacy and will be there for 3 weeks before I rototaed to another place. Won't be actually in the retail floor, but rather I will be at the dispensary and doing packing lol. DOn't quite like the environment at the dispensary. It looks so messy lol. The place is small, don't know where the drugs are being put. DO not have a proper place for checking items.I guess they need to upgrade their pharmacy software like NHG. It saves so much time. And the label printer is like so old and slow, like those old typewriter. Then sometimes, they use the brand name which made me so hard to find because the name on the drug drawer (Ya some of the drugs are placed inside a drawer) is generic, or vice versa. They should just put both the brand and generic name. And I think they need to arange their medicines again. It is just too messy. Not easy to find the medicine. And PTs there don't seem to be dispensing. Only the pharmacists get to dispense. I also pity the pre-reg, just doing picking like us and standing like a christmas tree in the retail floor. The only thing good about the dispensary, it has so many medicines as compared to polyclinic. And now I wonder whether I will a project at SGH. Apparently, they are not informed that we are suppose to have project at SGH. If not, I am going to have a hard time talking about my experience for my presentation. Food is expensive here. Miss those foods at tpy, where it is cheap and nice. I just miss tpy polyclinic.
