Patient care was alright. Got to go all the way to the block D for EBM lecture. The lecture was entertaining as usual. Learn why somethings in NYP were there from EBM lecture. For example, why CMS was there? Because of SARS lol.
WHy are there gates at the entrances of the food courts? Again, because of SARS. They want to control the human traffic. Lol.
Since food junction has closed down, a lot of people at both canteen. I waited until one pm then eat. See the queue and you don't feel like eating. So hard to find a seat and the queue is sooo long....Saw an article in yesterday's sunday times. So expensive to study in australia lol. Like that cannot go there to study pharmacy le... Haiz...

Friday:Pharmacy Management and Pharmacology lecture was alright. Try doing pull up, but it failed. Now I am worried about my NAPFA test. For some strange reason, my right arm is more pain than my left arm. William suddenly appear out from no where in LTQ-6. Lucky I wore my lanyard, if not $10 into the SCL club fund. I wonder why he got to impose this stupid rule. Take a look when you go south canteen during peak hours. You can probably see for yourself what is the most common colour of the landyard you will see other blue. It is orange, and is mostly wore by those year 1s. If he wants to implement this rule, he should have it implement across the campus and not just our school. Wearing the lanyard make us look so wierld lol. Haiz.Saturaday:Rotting at home. Haiz... Zj not coming back this weekend... Can't chat with him...I still have not think of my remaining choices for my attachment stuff. CAn someone give me some advice on where I should go???So sianz lol. Think I going to revise my pharmacology tomorrow. Is getting harder and harder...

Thursday:Comm skills was alright, except that the lecturer talk too much on her stories again. Got a guest speaker for Basic Dispensing Skills. He gave everyone a copy of a drug reference book. Yah! I finally got a own copy of a drug reference book. It cost $30!!! And I got it for free... Haha...Drug Development and aspetic dispensing were alright. COuld understand Dr Guo's Lecture. If you have no idea the way she speaks, just think of Dr Xu.Dinner at AMK S-11. The food was not bad. Malcom bought a box of ice cream and we shared!!! Haha. Thanks alot!!!My arm is still in pain... I wonder whether I can pass my NAPFA test anot...

Today EBM lessons was quite entertaining. The tutorial was quite ok. The way to choose students to answer questions was to toss a ball at somebody. Lol. I tiok the ball and got to answer the question. Actually not really that bad la.After that, we got a IAP briefing by Miss Yong. Basically, we were brief about what IAP and FYP is all about and the places that we can go. Some of the places that we can go:1. Hospital / Polyclinic - AH, KKH, SGH, TTSH, CGH, NCC, NSC, NHG, Singhealth2. Retail - Unity3. Clinical Trail Unit - Pending4. Research Lab - Lily-NUS5. Manufacturing Plant - DHA, Sunward6. Overseas Industrial Placement Programme (OIPP) - Details with AK7. FYP Project in SCL (LS) - Depends on availability8. Contract Requirements - Pfizer (That's for me!!!)Guess I have no choice (since I got to go Pfizer) unless something is screwed up in Pfizer again (like my senior). Haha. WHy I have some objections going to Pfizer?I feel that I can't really apply what I learnt in school into work. If I work in a pharmacy, I can apply what I have learnt in school. But if I go Pfizer, I have no idea what I am going to do. SOme say I going to do QC/QA (Quality Control/Quality Assurance). On top of that, Pfizer is pretty far. Is at Tuas le... ANd right now, is still not confirmed whether they have a position for me. So I may have some chance of not working there. Of course, if they send me to Pfizer for 12 weeks and then hospital/polyclinic for another 12 weeks, I wouldn't mind such arrangment. So where I want to go? I will probably choose hospital/polyclinic as my first choice. It will be better if I can go there for 24 weeks. haha. Hope they will not want to send me to NSC (National Skin Cancer). My patient counselling and dispensing skills won't work there. Don't forget I myself suffer from skin problem and have not completely recover from it. How do you exepct me to convince the patient. Haha.I have to indicate 3 choices of interest. Right now, I still have not decide on the other two yet.FInally, went to do some exercise in the afternnon with Weijie, Hui Min and 2 of Weijie's friends. Run the sports field 6 rounds first. We did some pull up. Haiz. I still can't even do one lol How to get silver for NAPFA. Then the standing board jump I also can't make it. Die le la...Then we went to the gym. Can you believe it? This is the first time that I am visiting the gym out of the 3 years I am in NYP?! The people there all like so fit. I feel a bit embarrassed going there lol.Try playing around with some of the machine. Not bad la. Experience quite good. But of course, I have not do until very stressed out la. Maybe, tomorrow I may want to visit the gym again if I do not suffer from any aches tonight. Haha. need to gain a better body. Haha...That's all for today!!!

Patient care lecture was not too bad.I think I am going to die from pharmacology lecture. CV drugs is soooo hard... Haiz... Just got to blame that I am weak in anatomy and physiology.Think this time is going to be more harder to get an A for pharmacology.Since pharmacology is hard, the tutorial is definitely hard to do also. Haiz.... Probably I will start to hate CV drugs soon...Look at the drug development papers. Let see which lucky group will get lovastatin paper (15 pages?!)... Mua Haha...

Thursday:
Communication skills first lesson. Not a bad lecturer except she has too many stories to tell. Most of the time we are just listening to her stories. I look across the room and I see the group having more group interaction. Compare to ours, we are just sitting there listening. But that is fine with me. I hate group work.
After that was basic dispensing skills. Ok la. Followed by drug development. It was taught by Henry. AS funny as usual. His way of talking just make us laugh. Went to AMK hub to have dinner. Not as bad when I have lunch at vivo.
Then come our first night lecture of the semester. Aspectic Dispensing. It was taken by Mr Peter Yap. At first, I thought he was going to be another boring lecturer. But then after he start his teaching, I was wrong. His quite good at delivering his lecture and still can make us laugh. He told us a lot of things that happen in the hospital that we did not know. And that is contamination of drugs by nurses. Anyway, he is also going to take us for pharmacology, the section on cancer drugs.
Friday:
The day start off with pharmacy management. Don't know what's wrong with Miss Dyan Lin's notebook, the projector flash out red screen while for Miss Ang's notebook, it flashed out a normal screen. ANother new lecturer being introduced, Miss Loh Li Ling. She has a nice intials for her name, LLL. Just joking. This module also got project. Sianz. ANyway, I got team with Weijie and Huimin for this module project.
Then went for break. After that got drug development briefing and pharmacology introduction by Henry. As funny as usual and he was describing how "wonderful" the CMS was. He vowed never to use the CMS if he was a student in NYP. Note the way he speaks, we just kept laughing. Again drug development and pharmacology got project. Sianz. Drug development project is the same as medical microbiology. As for pharmacology, still no idea. After that, come the last lesson, pharmacology. you can probably guess who the lecturer is. yes. Is Miss Ang (ok, I not sicked).
Don't know what's wrong with this semester. So many project lol.
1. Drug Development (paper presentation)
2. Pharmacology (No idea yet)
3. Pharmacy Management (research on thing and present)
4. Clinical Research Management (No idea yet)
5. Essentials of Business Management (Interview with somebody and do report)
6. Communication skills (Mock job interview).
As you can see, I have 6 projects. More than last semester. Why can't they give less projects. like that makes things more stressed lol. I still don't know whether to group with same people in this semester anot. I feel that I don't belong to that group anymore. The same thing happen again. I wonder whether I belong to that group. I know I may be also complaining about stuff and may not do as much as others, but I always try my best to do things and things that I am good at. Well I don't know what they think of me. But then certainly, in this semester I got to think carefully who I want to work with for project.

Nothing much in school today. Clinical Research Management is ok la... Like principles of clinical trials. Also being introduce to a new lecturer. She reminds me of Aheda. Haha...Despite having 9 modules this semster, I got to say that my time table is still quite relaxed. CAn shift lessons here and there. haha. Definitly more relaxed than last semester where the time table was so fully packed. As I think of other people results, I can't help but keep comparing to my own results. I looked back at the semester where I did the best. I feel that I am not a person that can really study until very hard to get straight As results. I compared my year 2 to my year 1 results. I realized one thing why I could do well when I was in year 1. The answer is TIPS. Or hints or whatever you call. I noticed when I have tips from lecturer, I can actually do quite well. However, when there are no tips or little tips, I can't really do that extremely well. Just to illustrate an example, principles of clinical trials. It seems to be just an easy module, nothing but memorizing. There were little tips. And I got an B+ in the end. I already tried very hard. FOr some strange reasons, I just can't force myself to memorize more things. I got stop relying from tips (even though I really wished for more). As I looked at this semester modules, most of them depends on memorizing and I wonder if there are no tips given, can I really do that well like common test period or during my year 1....

Ok. I know I have nothing better to do.

A pharmacist is traditionally defined as one who runs a pharmacy. We cannot define a pharmacist as one who practices pharmacy. Rather, he must be defined as one who practices a part of pharmacy which is determined by the activities carried on in one of the subsystems of pharmacy.

First day of school. Haha. Today only got 1h plus of lesson lol. Came at 9 am for essentials of business managament (EBM) lecture. Heng la.. The lecturer say future lecture start at 9 instead of 8am. Haha, means can sleep longer.
Not a bad lecture for being the first lecture of the semester. The lecturer is quite good at teaching. And he do resemble those sales people who can really talk. If you attend the lecture, he may look like those sales people trying to sell those kitchen apparatus at shopping centre. Haha.
After that, have EBM tutorial. Is quite a short tutorial. Just to say some stuff. This is probably the first time I have a tutorial along the corridor. The lecturer could not access the room. But since it was a short one, we just have it at the corridor. Everybody sat down on the floor including the lecturer.
Then met up with MIss Ang with some annoucments. Miss Ang leaving NYP le... Why... SHe should at least stay we us until we graduate ma... So sad lol. She won't be with us when we graduate le... SOb sob.. Must be very very enthu in her lessons now.
Time fly so fast. I am now already in year 3 le. Year 1 is as if like yesterday. I still missed my year 1 time. It was better than now lol. That time got so many break can relax. And the modules were not that difficult. Looking back, how wish I can travelled back time. haiz... Look at my friends who are year 2, I remember how badly I have done for some modules for year 2. How wish I have put in more hard work.
Been here for 2 years, I never regretted coming to poly (although I was complaining about to memorize so many things). Afterall, I am studying something that I like. I wonder how I will screwed up my A levels if I have gone to JC since some of my friends who did well in O levels but didn't well in A levels. And also, if I really gone to JC, don't think can handle the stress.
Probably the only thing I regretted about not going to JC is my friend ba. Quite a nice friend who can tolerate all nonsense from me. He is now in Tekong. Still missing him. If I have gone JC, I probably same class with him, go NS with him. Go uni with him... Can help one another ma. Must find a day to visit him. Then can see how he look like after been in tekong. Haha. Enough of this le. Need to start doing physical training this semester. I don't want to fail my NAPFA test. Don't know after this training can pass NAPFA test anot...
ANyway, one pic I took with Mr Tan on friday. Quite funny lol... Haha
Aiyo...Don't need to be so formal ba... Just a simple photo taking...

Went to east coast park yesterday for BBQ. First time went to east coast park. Took 55. Didn't have a good ride. There was this guy, who was behind me, kept burping through the journey. Then he also shout vugalarites. I not sure whether he was targeting me. I felt how relieved when he left. Then the bus was so slowed. It kept stopping after a short distance. It also keep stopping at every traffic light. So long lol. The ride took me 1 h and 10 min.
Overshot one stop. Then here a problem. As this is the first time I am going to east coast park, I have no idea about going. So I was directed to head towards the HDB flats. Then as I walked, I realized I was on the wrong track, so I went back and walked the other way.
When I finally reach east coast park, I couldn't find the pit. Lucky Yu Sheng was at MAc, so I went to find him. Then he direct me to the pit.
CAn you imagine I was like walking around with 5 bottles like a mad man, searching for east coast park? By the time I reached, my hands were like so tired.
Mr Koh was the first to came, follow by Miss Ang, Miss Yong, Dr Henry Leung and last but not least, Mr Tan.
The rice and bee hoon like nobody eat lol. I kept eating the fishball and fried rice. The sausage was so nice. The Miss Ang was like tempting me to eat when playing Dai dee. Haha. I was like so lucky lol. Got Mr Tan and Mr Koh to teach me. Haha. But of course, I did win without their help also. Haha.
Mr Koh left a bit early, a pity did not take pic with him. I didn't took much pics. About 2 only. Once I get hold of it, I will post them up.
Took bus 13 back home. I wanted to take 55, but on the way to the bus stop (I need to walk pass HDB flats), there was a bus stop inside the HDB flats, and then there is bus 13. So I took that bus back home lol.
Pass by geylang. Can see the night life of singaporeans. So many people around, especially the food store. Reach home at about 11 50. This bus quite fast. Think next timee take 13 to east coast park.Probably this is the last time I am going to see Mr tan. He is leaving NYP le. He is moving to a MNC. He cited career prospect as one of the reason, but there might be other reasons. He's quite a nice lecturer and he's a bit strange, but all the students somehow like him. Like our seniors, I did not like him at first. He's unlike Miss Ang or Miss Yong where you will like them the first time you see them. But then as time pass, people will somehow start to like him. Haha. I guess because of more interaction that's why start to like him ba. When I went to take something from him in his car, he's still as naggy as ever and start to talk about stuff. But then, I think those things are not bad either. Haha. Don't think I can get to chat with him le.
Enough of blogging. Shall stop here. Looking forward to more class gatherings in the future!!!

For some unknown reason, my mother lost $1000 from her bank account. And not the bank is investigating this problem. The thing is that, we do not know whether this money is lost either through withdrawal by some unknown people or is it duction ny some organizations. I wanted to take my mother's account book and update her book, so that I can know who took the money. But then she refused. Even though, I explain like don't know how many times, she refused. She keep saying she already checked with the bank, etc. And the funny thing is she can still chat like nothing has happened.Went to Jovian's house yesterday. It was around chin swee area (the area where I make my specs). Got to say the place is real damn small. But at least, is still a home to stay. Then yesterday afternoon, went to Funan with Eric to buy hard drive. Don't know why yeterday kept raining. And we were like stuck at the place, waiting for the rain to stop.Nothing much happened. Went home after that.

My last week of holiday le... DOn't know how to spend this week lol... CAn anybody jio me out. This is the last time I going to have a long holiday. The next long holiday for me will be next year le.ANyway, time table is out. Not that good. Monday - Start at 9am end at 6 pm. 3 hours in between break.Tuesday - Start at 8 am end at 11 am.Wednesday - Start at 10 am end at 2 pm.Thursday (the worst) - STart at 10 am end at 8.30 pm (No dinner break somemore, only 2 hours break from 2 to 4 pm).Friday - Start at 10 am, end at 6 pm. And then, we got 9 modules in total!!! Are they crazy or what??? All thanks to Communication skills 2 lol. Got to take this module... Luckily the lecturer not Mrs Abraham... Or else think sure get a B for this module again. But then, why must they include so many modules in this sem??? Very tried lol. Imagine studying for common test or exams... CAn die and I can see most of my modules requires memorizing. Think my head is going to burst. Look at our seniors, 8 modules they cannot handle already. WHat about us, taking 9 modules?? Even worst. Better pray that there is not going be many projects or I really will die...

The freshman orientation has ended.DAy 1:Reach school at 7.30 am but then Sharon was late. She came at 8 am. Then went to move tables and chairs. 9 am the registration started. Lots of freshman came. Got to say, they need to put up sighboard next time to direct the students what to do when they come. I was like busy answering the same question all over again and again. This year only got 5 MB classes, 3 FS classes, 2 PS classes and 6 CPT classes. The PS classes are qute ke lian. Or should I say the guys n teh class are ke lian. Cause there is only 2 and 3 guys in each of the class. After that I went to sort out the t shirts. lol. This year orientation shirt is so much better than ours lol. Then went for lunch and started distributing the shirt to the various classes. The shirt also got problem lol. SOme got SIDM shirt, then some got missing letters or spelling error. Then the rest of them went to buy ingredients for the drink wheile I stay in the campus (u don't need 6 people to buy the drink lol). So I stayed in school and went to th elibrary to use the com and read newspapers. Went to sport hall to look the the telematch. But then it weas cancelled. So they played another game. Listen to Miss yong Comments on the food on the aniversary dinner. Haha. At night, went to eat dinner with Weijie, Hui Min and Ivy Li.For some strange reason, u always need to quene up for a long time when buying chicken rice. Then chat with them before heading home.Day 2:Went to school much later. Went to the hear the electives talk since I need to collect the attendance from the OGLs. The year 1 so good lol. They got a new elective call Digital Media Development. On top of that, for language, they can choose to 2 more language electives after they fnished the first language module. Then they also got higher intake for the language. For example, they are opening 3 classes for jap. SO good sia..Then went to audiortium to wait. Lunch at one. This is the first time I seen 2 containers of bartly provided, with different concentration. OMG, nothing to say. Then when I was at the drinks, got 2 OGLs look at me and say I look so much like Weijie (not Yeo Weijie, is JJ's brother). Then they ask for my name and I show them my card. They were so surprised that I also called Weijie. And then whenever the female OGL see me, she kee saying are you really weijie. lol. After the lunch, went to move the goody bags from Block Q level 4 to auditorium. Can u imagine I travelled 4 times?! OMG. Then I also saw Miss Chew ( My sec school maths teacher). She like never change lol. At 3, went to the auditorium to watch the performance. When everything was over, it was the most exciting part of the day. The drink. The smell is strong that u can even smell with putting your nose near it.When every class has drank it, it was the redst of the people to drink it. I thought I did not have to drink it. But then I was also forced to drink it. I was trying to to take my water bottle with me and they thought I was trying to run away. I just could't drink it. The moment I drink it, I will just vomit it out lol. Then my hand was full of that disgusting thing. I got to wash my hand for 2 days before the smell went away. They should filter the residue so that the person who drink it can swallow it more easily.Oh ya, finally Mr Michael call me name and this round, he could pronounce it correctly. Haha. Then went back to the clubroom to hear debrief. After that, went home. SO tried lol...

Went back to school to help with some orientation stuff. First, went to the clubroom to hear briefing and help paste the signboard. OMG, I need to buy the drink ingredients and make it as well!!! Can't imagine the process of making it. Think it going to be disgusting. After that, accomapny with some other guys to mac to eat (of course I didn't eat).
Then we went to the audiotrium. Some guys need to learn how to operate the sound system all that. Then me, terence and some other guys kept chatting lol. Also went to put the class on the various classroom for tomorrow.
Heard from Miss Yong that there are no DPS for year 2 lol. So sad... Means we only got the year 1 as our juniors. Hui Min and SHereen taking the DPS class for OG. Haha. They start to bond with the year 1 DPS students.
Surprise that Miss Yong actually read my blog... Oh... Don't know what she think about my comments about some stuff... Haha...
Later I am going cut my hair. My father keep complaining is too long...
Tomorrow is the FO. Goona reach school at 7.30 am... Woa.. Must wake early... So sianz...
